Actuarial Methodology & Standards
How UtilyxHub models complex financial, tax, and insurance calculations using deterministic formulas, statutory benchmarks, and client-side execution.
1. Client-Side Execution & Privacy Standards
Financial and health insurance decisions involve sensitive data: net worth, salary, medical conditions, and property values. Standard online calculators transmit this data to backend databases to build user tracking profiles.
UtilyxHub operates on an in-RAM, zero-server compute model:
- Zero Data Transmission: Calculations execute strictly within the browser's JavaScript V8 runtime engine. No input values are sent over network sockets.
- Local PDF Generation: Document generation engines (via our universal
security.jsasset) render reports directly to browser memory blobs without third-party rendering APIs. - Stateless Operations: Refreshing or closing a tab clears all session variables from RAM immediately.
2. Primary Statutory Sources by Category
Every calculator on UtilyxHub is engineered against primary statutory frameworks, insurance policy form standards, and federal tax laws:
IRC Section 36B & ACA: Advanced Premium Tax Credit sliding scale formulas and FPL poverty line benchmarks.
IRC Section 223: Statutory annual HSA contribution limits, catch-up provisions, and qualified expense rules.
CMS Medicare Guidelines: Social Security Act Section 1839(i) IRMAA 2-year lookback brackets and standard Part B/D base premiums.
ISO Form Standards: HO-3/HO-5 Section I/II exclusions, HO 04 77 (Ordinance/Law), HO 04 95 (Water Backup), and DP-3 (Dwelling Fire).
FEMA & NFIP Standards: National Flood Insurance Act 42 U.S.C. ยง 4013 statutory caps and Risk Rating 2.0 principles.
Actuarial Coinsurance Formula: Standard ISO 80% Coinsurance (Did / Should) indemnity reduction formulas.
Society of Actuaries (SOA): Mortality tables, Net Present Value (NPV), and discounted cash flow modeling.
Buy Term & Invest Difference (BTID): Opportunity cost schedules modeling marginal compound growth vs. cash-value internal fee loads.
Total Loss ACV Valuation: CCC ONE / Mitchell salvage estimation models and state total-loss thresholds (TLTs).
GAP Coverage Depreciation: Straight-line and accelerated vehicle depreciation algorithms.
3. Model Verification & Update Cadence
Statutory figures (such as annual IRS HSA limits, Medicare Part B standard premiums, and FPL poverty thresholds) adjust annually. UtilyxHub conducts regular reviews to update:
- Annual IRS Tax Brackets: Updated every Q4 upon official IRS Revenue Procedure releases for the upcoming tax year.
- CMS Medicare Part B & Part D Schedules: Calibrated annually following official Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services releases.
- State Insurance Department Mandates: Reviewed against current insurance commissioner guidelines (e.g., California Safer from Wildfires, Florida wind mitigation credits).
